The 2022 National Columbus Day Parade’s grand celebration of heritage, culture, and pride on Fifth Avenue is a testament to the resilience of the Italian American people, says Columbus Heritage Coalition President Angelo Vivolo. He noted the diversity of the crowds along the parade route joining the celebration, including Governor Hochul, Congressman Zeldin, Mayor Adams, Police Commissioner Sewall, and Acting Fire Commissioner Kavanagh. “We are strong and united,” said Vivolo. “Italians are no longer complacent. We no longer sit on the sidelines, letting others demoralize us. We march in the footsteps of our forebears in gratitude for our great heritage and this great country we call America.”
