Having had the pleasure of recently working with the Andrea Bocelli Foundation, and Maestro Bocelli himself, I was shocked to learn that despite selling over 85 million albums worldwide – Andrea has never been the recipient of a Grammy award.
His #1 Billboard album, Si, is nominated for Traditional Pop Vocal Album – and I am keeping my fingers crossed that The Recording Academy will recognize him at the 2020 Awards on January 26.
I personally feel that Andrea has done so much to reignite America’s love affair with Italian music and Italian language, that it would be a huge accomplishment for him and for us if he were to win this award.
